Biography

He is a classically trained trumpeter who focused on current and improvised music in the early 2000s, and self-taught, developed his skills in this field.

He then became a professional musician who performed at concerts, in tours and recordings in France and abroad with many groups and bands. In 2015, he joined the bigband syllabus at the Didier Lockwood academy of music (CMDL) under the direction of Stéphane Guillaume and Claude Egea. He also joined the IMEP Paris College of music bigband conducted by François Fichu. Then he spent 3 years studying jazz and improvised music at the CMDL, from which he graduated in 2020.

 

Additionally, he plays the trombone and the euphonium. Along with that, he has been studying afro-cuban percussions with the famous Venezuelian    percussionist Orlando Poleo.

 

Along these years, he has been combining his further training with his sideman activities, performing in numerous and varied styles as a trumpeter and percussionist. Besides, he has been recording for Cds and for film music ( Gaumont/Nona et ses filles) and performing in cultural TV programmes (Doc Stupéfiant/ Léa Salamé).

Moreover, he played as a soloist or with other artists such as l’Orchestre National de Jazz des Jeunes #1, CMDL BigBand, IMEP BigBand, European BigBand & Perico Sambeat, Orlando Poleo y su Chaworo, Yves Jamait, Maë Defays, Charlélie Couture, Tio Pepe Sudista, Philippe Befort, Philippe Jakko, Les Infidèles, El Mira, Collectivo Matanzas, Kontratak Jazz Remix, Fazz, SoulSquare, Valérie Ekoumé, Renato Falaschi, Bandapanam, Yuri Quintero, Lounata, Noneim, Five Seasons, Singall Gospel, Yenich, Agnes Bihl, Orlando Poleo y el Taller Latino,  Aslove, Jérémie Kisling, Wambo, GBFB, Savoye, Tomcat Blake, Jacques Boilley, Singall Gospel, Stompin’ Whites & Friends, Bâton rouge quintet, Aillacara 2743, BIGG quartet…

Recent Projects

In spite of the crisis caused by the covid 19 virus, he has been continuing to broaden his horizons : he has recently performed with
Le Take Off Brass Band, The Septet latin jazz Rumba Pa Jerry , the group Soul Garage The Dustburds, and in several shows for the young public, as well as in cultural actions : the Ciné Concert Lucarne de Plan9, the Pestacle du bistrot de la Scène, the Ateliers en Chantier proposed by the les Concerts de Poche.
